Enter the Advance, Fee and Sales Share
This PayPal business loan calculator estimates sales-linked repayments from the advance, fixed fee and sales forecast you enter. It compares a baseline with lower sales and shows the extra cash required to meet your minimum-payment rule.
Select Sales-linked for an agreement repaid from a percentage of eligible sales. Enter the advance and fixed fee separately. The total repayable is their sum. The example’s $10,000 advance and $1,500 fee make $11,500 repayable.
PayPal’s Australian Working Capital description explains its fixed-fee, percentage-of-sales arrangement. Use the actual agreement’s figures. The example terms are fictional and give no fee quote or eligibility assessment.
Enter sales subject to the repayment share, after any reversals required by your agreement. Cash retained excludes transaction fees, refunds outside the entered sales, tax and other operating costs.
Compare Sales and Repayment Timing
Enter consecutive forecast blocks as days followed by daily sales, separated by a comma. The default uses 30 days at $500, then 700 days at $300. Every day in a block has the same sales.
The lower-sales share scales each daily amount. At 50%, $500 becomes $250 and $300 becomes $150. Change a block or add another line to model a seasonal change. The forecast can cover up to 3,650 days.
Payments occur at each day’s end, starting on First forecast day. Each sales payment is that day’s sales multiplied by the repayment share, rounded to cents. The payment stops at the remaining amount due.
The minimum rule checks complete, consecutive assessment periods from the first forecast day. At each period’s end, Extra required shows any gap between the entered minimum and sales payments in that period.
The schedule assumes you pay that extra amount on the assessment day, capped at the outstanding balance. A negative cash-retained row means you need cash from another source. An incomplete final assessment period has no top-up.
PayPal’s minimum repayment requirement describes 5% or 10% of the loan plus fee every 90 days, depending on the agreement. Enter the amount and assessment period that apply to your client. The default $575 is 5% of $11,500.
Align First forecast day with the agreement’s first assessment window. Use zero as the minimum to model sales payments alone. Required top-ups are cash-flow assumptions, so the result does not establish contractual compliance.

In the fictional default example, the first 30 days each repay $75. Sales then fall to $300 a day and the normal payment becomes $45. The baseline clears on day 236 with a final sales payment of $25.
At half the sales, the loan clears on day 492 with a final payment of $2.50. Both scenarios repay exactly $11,500. Neither needs a minimum-payment top-up under the entered rule.
The baseline retains $65,300 from sales before other costs. Cash retained covers each scenario’s own days to payoff, or the full forecast when an amount remains due. Totals spanning different payoff periods are not like-for-like measures of profit.
For a zero-sales stress test, enter 180,0 as the forecast. With the default minimum rule, the schedule needs $575 extra on day 90 and day 180. The remaining amount due is $10,350.
Choose the schedule scenario to inspect its dates, sales, sales payments, extra required, cash retained and closing amount due. Download comparison CSV includes both scenarios with ISO dates and plain numeric amounts.
Check the Loan Terms Before Comparing Costs
A fixed fee is a dollar cost for the agreement. Dividing the $1,500 fee by the $10,000 advance gives 15% of the advance. That percentage has no time basis and is not an annualised interest rate.
Faster sales increase the daily repayment while the entered fixed fee stays unchanged. Slower sales extend payoff, unless minimum-payment top-ups reduce the delay. This calculator does not calculate an annualised cost.
Select Instalments when your agreement requires equal periodic payments. Use the loan repayment calculator for interest, term and equal-instalment schedules. This sales-linked model does not apply those terms.
Entered figures stay in your browser. The calculator accesses no PayPal account and sends no loan details to Tax Genie or a lender. The forecast excludes live offers, account restrictions and default enforcement.
