AI client onboarding in Tax Genie checks submitted forms and sends fixable mistakes back to your client automatically. Your practice receives the corrected form without writing each follow-up email. Every TFN is removed before AI reviews the answers.

Tax Genie’s Two Kinds of Checks

Tax Genie runs rule-based checks first. These check ABN, ACN and TFN format, compare details with registers, check consistency between answers and identify missing documents.

AI then reviews the answers for common client mistakes. A client who records GST registration but leaves out the reporting frequency has given an incomplete answer. Tax Genie identifies that gap and asks the client to complete it before the corrected form reaches your practice.

The checks start with the questions your practice asks. Use the form questions by entity to prepare the shared questions and the extra questions for each entity. The ABN and TFN checking guide explains number checks and their limits. These are underlying practice tasks. A number with the right format does not establish identity or authority to act.

Fix Requests Go Back to the Client

Tax Genie emails your client a plain list of fixable issues. Only the affected sections reopen on the same private link, so the client can correct those answers without completing the whole form again.

Automatic email and SMS reminders chase anything still outstanding and stop when it arrives. The practice receives the corrected form. Alerts and client replies reach the staff members working with that client, so a question has someone to answer it.

TFNs Stay Out of AI Review

Tax Genie removes every TFN before AI review runs. The review uses the remaining answers. TFNs also stay out of emails, exports and generated documents, including the engagement letter and messages requesting corrections.

A TFN stays hidden until a signed-in staff member reveals it. Each reveal records who viewed which client’s TFN and when. This staff access record is separate from the removal that keeps TFNs out of AI review.

Your Practice Chooses the Checks

Your staff can turn individual checks on or off. They can also ask the client to change particular sections of a submitted form, keeping a request focused on the answer that needs attention.

Staff can correct client answers themselves. Tax Genie records who changed what and when, so the next staff member can see how the form changed.

Use the wider guide to AI for accountants when deciding how your practice adopts AI and assigns staff review. Those practice decisions cover the jobs and responsibilities around the form checks.

The Checked Details Reach Your Tax Software

Tax Genie drafts your engagement letter from the client’s answers. Staff can adjust it for that client, then the client reads and signs it online. Approved client details go into your tax software without anyone typing them again.

This gives the practice checked information for the tax work. Your accountant determines the tax treatment and prepares and lodges the return in your tax software.
