DocuSign Pricing vs Annature and FuseSign in 2026
Comparing signing tools on price? Here is what DocuSign AU, Annature and FuseSign charge per user and per envelope, and what a practice pays in a year.

DocuSign pricing for an Australian practice depends on sending seats and envelope allowances. Annature charges per envelope. FuseSign sells signing credits. Compare the annual bill using your own sending volume, signer count and required integrations.
For DocuSign sign-in or purchase, use the vendor’s own website. This comparison explains the charging models for Australian practices renewing or buying a signing plan.
What DocuSign Charges in Australia
DocuSign’s Australian eSignature plans charge for the sender’s subscription, with usage measured in envelopes. An envelope can contain several documents and signers. Sending it uses the allowance even when nobody completes it.
| Australian eSignature plan | Sending allowance | What changes the bill |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | Five envelopes per month | Limited sending for an individual |
| Standard, annual | Up to 100 envelopes per user per year | Sending seats plus additional envelopes |
| Business Pro, annual | Up to 100 envelopes per user per year | Higher feature tier with the same ordinary allowance |
| Standard or Business Pro, monthly | Up to ten envelopes per user per month | Monthly subscription and its separate allowance |
| Enhanced | Agreed allowance | Custom contract and required features |
DocuSign displays Australian plans in AUD with additional tax potentially payable. Standard adds shared templates and branding. Business Pro adds bulk sending and web forms. Paying for Business Pro does not itself increase the ordinary annual envelope allowance.
Standard and Business Pro excess envelopes are charged separately. Pre-purchased envelopes can increase the allowance. Include that charge in the renewal comparison, alongside paid identity verification attempts and SMS delivery.
DocuSign also sells Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM). IAM Starter retains an annual envelope allowance. IAM Standard and IAM Professional advertise unlimited web-app envelopes with a three-user minimum. Their automation terms need separate treatment.
Clients sign for free and need no DocuSign account. The practice pays for sending. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly. Annual subscriptions renew annually. A monthly figure attached to annual billing is an annual commitment.
An existing connector does not automatically require a developer plan. DocuSign distinguishes partner-built integrations from direct API sending. Its developer plans are Starter, Intermediate, Advanced and Enhanced. They combine API features with envelope volume. Budget the connector’s required production plan separately from ordinary web sending.
Annature Pricing
Annature’s standard signing model charges per envelope, with unlimited users included. Its pricing page describes pay-as-you-go sending without a lock-in contract. Several documents and signers can share one envelope without increasing the envelope charge.
Identity verification is a separate per-verification charge. The base check includes government-document checks. Optional anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing screening adds checks for politically exposed persons, sanctions and adverse media. Calculate these charges from the number of people checked.
SMS delivery adds a per-message charge. Branded SMS links have a separate recurring charge. Enterprise pricing is customised.
This model removes the cost of extra sending seats. Consider Annature when several staff send occasional packs. With heavier sending, compare its annual envelope total against a subscription’s included allowance. Practice size alone does not determine the cheaper answer.
FuseSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign Pricing
FuseSign charges through subscription plans with included signing credits. A credit is used for each unique signer in a bundle, with at least one credit per bundle.
The plans are Starter, Business Lite, Business, Enterprise and a custom Enterprise+ agreement. Starter is monthly only with five user accounts. Business Lite and above include unlimited users and standard integrations. Business and Enterprise include internal staff signatures without using paid credits. Private API access sits at Enterprise level.
Additional credits use the selected plan’s per-credit rate. Annual plans supply credits upfront. Published AUD amounts exclude GST. Include separately charged SMS and optional setup in the comparison.
Adobe’s Australian small-team range includes Acrobat Standard for teams, Acrobat Pro for teams and Acrobat Studio for teams. Its displayed team subscriptions are per licence, annual and billed monthly, with GST included. These subscriptions bundle PDF work with signing capabilities. Acrobat Sign Solutions is a separate sales-quoted offer.
Do not treat the Acrobat licence as the price of every Sign Solutions feature. Cost the edition that supplies your required sending method and integrations.
| Provider | Main charging shape | Volume to measure | Separate cost questions |
|---|---|---|---|
| DocuSign eSignature | Sending seats with envelopes included | Envelopes sent | Excess envelopes, identity attempts and SMS |
| Annature | Per envelope | Envelopes sent and people verified | Identity checks, screening and SMS |
| FuseSign | Subscription with signing credits | Unique signers within bundles | Extra credits, SMS and optional setup |
| Adobe | Team licences or quoted Sign Solutions | Licensed senders and contracted transactions | Product edition and integration requirements |
| PandaDoc | Seat subscription or document-based agreement | Ordinary documents and automated documents separately | API and automation Usage Credit packs |
PandaDoc’s paid range is Starter, Business and Enterprise. Starter supports signing and document creation. Business adds proposal and approval features. Enterprise can use seat or document pricing. Its public seat pricing is in USD, so an AUD comparison needs currency conversion and the applicable tax basis.
PandaDoc API sending uses separately purchased Usage Credit packs. API calls stop when those credits run out until you buy more or upgrade. An ordinary signing allowance does not cover every automated send. Cost proposal features only when your practice uses them.
What a Practice Pays for a Year of Signing
Your annual signing cost starts with packs sent and people signing, not the number of PDF pages. Use your previous year’s sending report and add expected client growth.
The following fictional example assumes these sending volumes for an anonymous practice. Use your own figures when requesting quotes.
| Signing job | Assumed annual volume | Assumed client signers per pack |
|---|---|---|
| New-client engagement letters | 100 packs | One each |
| Pre-lodgement declarations | 400 packs | One each |
| Authorities or consents | 50 packs | Two each |
| Total | 550 packs | 600 signer appearances across packs |
Assume each pack is sent once. For this example, DocuSign and Annature need 550 envelopes. FuseSign needs 600 credits because the final 50 bundles each have two unique signers. Extra pages in those packs do not create extra envelopes.
If two staff need DocuSign annual Standard seats, the advertised allowance totals 200 envelopes before additional purchases. The example therefore needs capacity for another 350 envelopes. On IAM Standard or Professional, the three-seat minimum affects the base subscription even if only two staff send.
Use the same 550 packs for every quote. If a connector sends them automatically, identify its chargeable unit and include all automated usage.
| Charge shape | Annual calculation using quoted rates |
|---|---|
| Seats with an allowance | Annual cost of required seats + charges for sends above their allowance |
| Annature per envelope | 550 × quoted envelope rate + selected checks and SMS |
| FuseSign credit plan | Annual subscription + charges for extra credits needed to cover 600 credits after subtracting the included allowance |
| Adobe team or Sign Solutions | Required licences or quoted transaction package + required extras |
| PandaDoc | Required seats or document package + automated/API credit packs needed for the sending method |
For FuseSign, subtract the plan’s included credits from the 600 required credits. Charge only a positive remainder at the additional-credit rate. For a monthly plan, calculate the remainder separately for each billing period. Busy periods can exceed an allowance even when annual totals look comfortable.
Count each staff member who must send from their own account. Staff who only review a letter and clients who only sign are different roles. Do not assume a shared login is a substitute for licensed senders.
Per-envelope sending becomes dearer than a seat plan when the envelope bill exceeds the seat subscription plus its excess-send charges. With an unlimited eligible sending method, the comparison becomes simpler. Divide the annual seat cost by the per-envelope rate to find the volume where the costs meet.
Put every quote on one AUD and GST basis. Keep identity verification attempts separate from envelopes. Add integration charges, required storage and any overlap between annual commitments. Compare the amount payable over the whole term, including renewal conditions.
Before You Switch on Price Alone
A cheaper plan must preserve the signing evidence and the documents your practice needs. Include an audit trail and completed-document export in the required features. For several directors or trustees, include the required signing order.
Where a document requires witnessing, identify the signing and witnessing method before buying the plan. A generic signature field does not establish that the document can be witnessed using that method.
Price the move as well as the next subscription. Time spent rebuilding templates and changing connectors belongs in the first-year comparison. An existing annual commitment can create a period when you pay both vendors.
A completed document stays a completed record. Keep the signed file and its audit evidence before closing the old account. Live signing links belong to the old service. Plan how each unfinished pack will finish or be withdrawn and reissued, so a client receives one valid request.
Compare each vendor’s storage terms and post-cancellation access. Decide where your practice will keep its signed records independently of an active subscription. The document-management guide explains the filing decision.
For broader suitability, use the electronic-signature comparison. Tools that prepare the letter belong in the engagement-letter software comparison, while the engagement-letter guide covers its content.
At renewal, choose the lowest total for your required sending method and signing evidence. Use the same pack count, signer count and term in every offer before you compare the annual bills.
